Wheel/Tire size
My X5 has the stock 19'' wheels and tires 255/50/19.
Would like to move to 21'' 10.5'' wheels up front and 21'' 11.5'' in rear, with 295/35/31 tires up front and 295/40/21 in rear. Do you know if this set up is too much, especially on the front where even the X5M model uses 21'' 10 wheels and 285/35/21 tires up front? Will have to think about snow too, so I don't want a very narrow "gap" in the front. What worries me most is the 10.5" up front. Has anybody moved beyond stock specs on either F15 or F85? |

285/35/21 325/30/21 I just put new wheels on my car and went with those sizes. don't remember exactly how wide my wheels are but I think I'm running 10.5 and 11.5 or 10 and 11.5

[/QUOTE] Not me personally. I think stock staggered setup is good enough, but here you go with 315's all around: http://www.bmwblog.com/2015/10/09/bm...00-horsepower/ or this http://www.automobilesreview.com/aut...-f85-2/115566/ there's plenty of mods like that from different tuning shops, but those 23 rims are 11'' wide and they fit - so I think your 10.5'' rim should be fine No issues with XDrive if you are keeping overall rolling diameter/circumference same (or delta within 1%) The reason X5M uses 325/30/21? The only reason is to put down all that power X5M has and to keep rolling delta close to zero - there's no other reason |

Wheel widths are 10 front, 11 rear. But I found a very nice looking wheel set to put my preferred tires on them |

This^ Stick to a BMW OEM set and you'll be fine. There are many nice OEM options for our SAVs. poke around on here for the numerous wheel threads and you'll get all the info you need to make an informed decision.

20 by 11 on the rear. The big question then becomes offset. How close to the fender lip do you want the tires.... Personally, I like to stay close to stock offsets. You can always use a spacer to move the tire/wheel out, but you can't go the other way without machining the wheel. For tires I'd go 275/40 in the front and 315/35 in the rear. There are a number of very nice choices out there. As for the xdrive..... BMW supplies these cars with the tire/wheel combination suggested so I'm thinking you'll be ok. Love some more pics of the setup. Shot of the side of the car showing the stance wheels. What did the wheels run you cost wise?

Hi,
I've been searching a while, and haven't seen anything on this, but has anyone tried the Michelin Weatherready's in 255/50/19? I live in Southern California, but have a house in the mountains where it can snow a lot, so need something that's good for regular sunny socal weather and decent in snow conditions. The Weatherready's seem to rate really well on tirerack. Anyone have any experience? |

Welcome to the forum....
Do you know what size wheels are on the car currently? Width and offsets? Are you asking about the wheels or tires as well? If so, what size tires? |
