I have done the first coding last night - M Splash screen , but it seems like i cannot get the M splash screen fully loaded then it jumps to the legal disclamer screen. It only shows about 2 seconds. Do you know how to reset iDrive or reboot iDrive. Thanks! Also i have received the multifunctional panel, should i wait for Bimmer-tech to code for me or should i do myself. |

I can code everything for you for the 6WB if you want. Very easy to do.

So tonight I was doing to some aggressive driving on back roads. Fast accelerating and hard braking, very windy roads. On hard braking occasionally I would get a lighting error on my idrive console, which coincided with the headlights strobing once and going very bright and shallow. I'm assuming this has something to do with VLD. It was like it couldn't keep up with the sudden speed changes and it was freaking it out. The error would go away after about 5 seconds. Anybody else experience this with the VLD activated???

Apparently, the X5 has a completely different wiring harness than other vehicles, so we can't just flip it on via coding. I put mine back to "regular brake lights." VLD works just fine. |

I recommend doing the first coding step of adding 6WB to your FA first. Then installing (car must be off), then AC Power on to finish the rest of the coding once installed.

Sounds good, buddy. Keep me posted. No VO Coding until the end. So, simply follow the FA pdf to add 6WB to the Salapa-Element section.
