Question Omar,

When you mention that I will lose the turn signal in the HUD after the retrofit, is that the turn direction arrow i will lose or the whole direction navigation indication i will lose, can you point out on my photo. Thanks!

in other words, you mean i will only get speed on HUD?

You don't have it coded right now. It's a feature we code in for 6WA Extended clusters with HUD. They have the ability to see their turn signal (the green clicker arrows) in their HUD with coding. However, this coding is not functional nor is the Lane Departure coding on 6WBs.

Just wanted to say a big 'Thank you!' to opasha for the help with coding. It took literally no time and I am very happy with the results!

Thanks again, man, I highly appreciate your help!

Keep up the good work!

Hi Omar,

I have successfully got everything coded and installed. please see the photos. I am so exciting now. Just want to say a big THANK YOU to you, everything was followed with your clear instruction, and ends up with this excellent result.

One question I still have not worked out is I still cannot get the navigation director on the cluster panel, but it does shows on my HUD. Any advice?

Try FDL Coding HU_NBT => KOMBI_AUFLOESUNG = aktiv.

You just have to disable the navigation instructions in your HUD settings, and it will show in the Instrument Cluster. It is only one or the other, unfortunately. You can try Shawn's advice and see if it will show in both. Also, you need to VO Code Dkombi again in order to get rid of that yellow dot.

For anyone that wants to find the 6WB for cheaper, here is the part number: 62109363265.

Cameras while driving

Hi,

I just coded my F11 to leave all cameras activated at any speed.
Now after activating the reverse gear the rear camera is activated also. When I'm driving away the rear camera stays activated until I deactivate it manually.

Now to my question:
Is there a way that the rear camera deactivates automatically after driving away and so switches back to the navigation system, but is able to activate it again manually by pressing the button while driving?

I used the following values for the rear camera:
V_SCHWELLE_2=FF
D_SCHWELLE_2=FF

But there are some predefined values I can't understand right now:
Abschaltschwelle_bis_09-09
Abschaltschwelle_0Kanal_vorn
Abschaltschwelle_ab_09-09

What are they exactly for?

Thanks a lot in advance!
Chris

Not really sure why you're posting here when this is an F15 thread, but I'll help you out regardless. This thread talks about the information a little bit where a member noted the changes and why things weren't working: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=708757.

Regarding what the codes mean:

D_SCHWELLE_1 refers to top view camera distance at which it is disabled
D_SCHWELLE_2 refers to rear view camera distance at which it is disabled
V_SCHWELLE_1 refers to top view camera speed at which it is disabled
V_SCHWELLE_2 refers to rear view camera speed at which it is disabled

Regarding the second values:

Abschaltschwelle_ab_09-09/ Werte = 0F (default) - change Werte to whatever - FF is the max
Abschaltschwelle_bis_09-09/ Werte = 14 (new value choice)
Abschaltschwelle_0-Kanal_vorn / Werte = 00 (new value choice)

**All you have to do is change the WERTE (value) number of the default first one above, and it will use that. People change it to FF (255 km/h) and this enables you to use the cameras at any speed and any distance.

I personally don't. You'll just have to look up the part number and call around to see who will give you the best deal.

Hi Omar,

Does that also mean that LDW and turn signals showing in HUD can't be coded on cars that already have 6WB from the factory?

Thanks!

Yes, that is correct. The 6WB does not have the ability for these two codes, unfortunately.

I'm curious since BMW has updated the PSZdata files, do we know if 6WB trips an error during an ISTA/P update? Has 6WB been added to the current F15 FA?

If 6WB is still not an option in US dealers, ISTA/P will not read the car if the retrofitted 6WB is present. It still must be removed prior to getting serviced where ISTA/P will be used.

Coding...

Soo...waiting for my ENET cable to arrive

I am not too serious about this, but thinking about coding the following - IF possible:

1. Auto start/stop to "active". Very annoying to press the button EVERY TIME. This function got NO value in my personal world.
2. Set tire sensors/TPMS to the "01" state - showing the actual pressure. My BIG guess, even before looking at it
- they have automatically been reset to code "00" because driving with wrong (winter) tire sensors for a while in the past.
3. I hate the sharp, white roof interior lighting to shine up when pressing the stop button.
I would prefer to "stay in the dark" until I press the roof switch myself. Not sure how (of IF) it is possible to code/fix this although...

I am a simple guy and will be happy with this..........
until we order the 258ps/30D with the 7SZ Active Suspension pack...:-)))

Happy weekend all,
Bent

I will help you code that and much more, no problem, my friend. The issue with the last one...I finally found MANY CODES regarding WELCOME LIGHTS and FOLLOW ME HOME LIGHTS and the TIMING OF the annoying INTERIOR LIGHTS - so we can disable it!!! - if that code exists . Man....so much coding knowledge and no car of mine to test it on yet .

Have you added these WL and FMHL codes to a cheat sheet somewhere?

I've been wanting to make my WLs fade on slowly and have been unsuccessful.

No, and I have no plans to until I test them. I just found them, but they may not even exist in the F15.
