I really could not have been happier! I have since added the matching OEM aluminum speaker covers and wired up the light in the tweeters so it looks as OEM as it could be. All for a few hundred bucks. . |

I have these settings since I saved them to my Notes App when I made the changes. Just changing the settings on the HK Equalizer made a difference. From the sound in mine compared to the HK, the only difference is the center channel where B&O has the Tweeter that disperses the sound more. So if you just replace the center speaker and use the B&O DSP, you'll get pretty close. The B&O has more power and gets more punchy when you crank up the volume. The default HK settings sound muffled. Not sure why HK did that for a major vehicle like the X5. Your vehicle may have had the wiring already. Mine did not. Just need to attach the purple connector to the purple connector if you have the wiring if you don't you will need to attach the grey red wire of the led to the red yellow wire in the door and the brown wire to the brown wire. Pretty simple and they light right up. Now I should mention this a setup but not the right one lol. It powers the led's but does not turn off and they stay on but are low draw so I need to find a wire that will turn off and then move it to the correct hot wire. They will eventually turn off when the car goes to sleep but they will stay on with the few other leds that stay on in the car after shutdown. Once you lock it and the car goes into sleep they all turn off. Still a work in progress. |

The wiring was there for the B&O tweeters was there when I took my door panels off to do the trim
https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1803630 You can see the purple and white connector wrapped in felt tape

Yep ! Not like the Bower and Wilkins where the whole speaker lights up behind the mesh.
I suppose if you wanted to go dance party you could always add an RGB led and control the color with an app. Sky's the limit. |

I am intrigued where this tweeter light plug was connected on the other side. In case of B&O system it is plugged into amplifier. Do you have any idea how it is in your car? |

Just need to cut the dash so it will fit. Took about an hour and a half total. Or any speaker install place that knows their salt could do it also. |

But yes the upper speaker is removed and the plastic cut out. But we where able to install the x5 with just feeding the wire down the dash and into the fuse panel with no removal of the trim. Only The lower fuse panel trim cover was removed. Otherwise that was it. |
