Velcro floor mat fix?

Driver side floor mat velcro (the one that is on the mat itself, not on the floor) that attaches mat to the floor came loose. Anyone had this before?
I'm thinking some superglue or I can stitch it back maybe, not sure. Mat is like new - don't want to throw it away and buy new which will be exactly same

Had the same problem. Since the velcro was all crumbled, I removed it. Ordered some selfsticking velco, cut it in shape and added superglue to make sure it would stay in place. That's now 3 months ago, still solid.

Home Depot / Lowes sells Industrial Strength Velco (the sticky part is industrial), buy that and cut it too shape. Pull the old off, clean it the mat good with rubbing alcohol. On mine, looks like the previous owner tried silicone .... that didn't work and it was a pain to remove so I could get a clean surface.

When that happened to my '14 35d not long ago, it was still (barely) under warranty. Since the mats are what came with the vehicle, I reported it to the dealer and they replaced all the mats under warranty.

I had the same issue. Took it to the dealer and they replaced all mats (couldn't do just the one) under warranty.

I tried this on mine and they came off too. Ended up having the dealer replace the front 2 mats.

Can I go to any dealer or it has to be the one where I bought the car? I'm in different state now.
Thanks for the idea - I would have never thought about that, for some reason idea that mats are under warranty never occurred to me

You can go to any dealer. Same thing happened to me, and the dealer is replacing with new ones where the velco pad is stitched into the mat.

How old is your X5, I had same problem, my dealer replaced the mat instead of trying to fix the round velcro.

It's 2014. I'll try to go to the dealer and post my experience
