5 Things I hate about my x5

Just finished up a video on the things I hate about my x5, nothing too major. Minor annoyances that should of came from the factory corrected

Just checked on my car if I also have the issue described in #2 with the A/C turning on each time... As I live in Florida, I always keep it on, so I wanted to check how it behaved when I kept it off.

And the car remembers the setting before the engine shut down: if the A/C was off, it remains off.

I have not done any coding to my 2015 X5.

I guess someone else has done it for you, or it's a lucky programing error

That must have happened at the BMW factory then...

Just made a quick video - not the best quality as I noticed afterwards...

I see what you mean, what the OP's saying is that the HVAC system comes on not just the compressor, the behavior in your car is normal.
the op would like the HVAC system to stay off if it was off when turned off the car, but by default the hvac system always come back on.

Yea, the HVAC turns on when you start the car is a real problem (not). For those of us that suffer with *#}^}^{Ing heat 9 months out of the year, I'd be upset if it DID NOT turn on automatically.

As OP mentions in the video, items 2 - 5 can all be eliminated via coding:

2 - AC setting can be remembered
3 - blind spot threshold can be lowered up to 20 kph (12.5 mph)
4 - drive mode can be remembered
5 - rear hatch remote close can be activated

and many more customizations. Search for F15 Cheat Sheet to get started.

5. I can close the hatch with the remote and I haven't coded. You just need to press the key down for 2-3 seconds and continue till its closed.
