Different lights. You would need to retrofit EU lights as well.

I mean our Fog Lights are there but just used for the Panic Brake. I find it hard to believe that we cant just pop in the correct button and have it coded. I have not done any coding and won't until I know I can do the taillights. Even if I can have the two rear fog lights light up everytime I step on brake pad would be a good bargain instead of the panic brake lighting.

Please take it from all of us you need to retrofit Euro rear light and change wiring and also do coding. No one is saying it is impossible, it is just very expensive and in need of people that know what they are doing. To me a waste of time and money all the expense and work.
If it could be done cheap and quickly someone might have figure out the way to do it in here.

Search for posts by wdimagineer - he put the euro taillights, switch and wiring (from memory I think there's a different harness and connector) into his F85. If I recall he said he would not recommend the trouble.

AHCPAX5 i saw you were online recently so figured it would be good to resurrect this thread with photos that work and to say it is possible and very easily.

i know this is old but not sure where the confusion is on rear fogs not working on the f15.

just wanted to update on my 2017 f15 USA build i installed the euro switch and coded rear fog lamps successfully. i like it a lot and integration into the 6WB also swapped over with the OEM lamp light is very clean and i like that all the buttons on the lighting switch panel light up unlike on my f30 where it was dead unless you also swapped the panel.

Did this for a lot of e9x members back in the day. It was simple plug and operational. Took two minutes. BMW?s getting a little too corporate and technical these days.

yeah a bit different on the f15 in that you can't just pull the actual empty slot, remove some tabs, and make it function. one needs to have the actual european headlamp switch. but this is better anyway so one has the actual graphic on the bottom and it will be backlit as well for a successful detailed install.

switch i got off ebay international. part number i believe was 61319265303.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...265303&_sop=15

you can also get from ecs-tuning or see more photos there:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...319265303~oeb/

ecs was backordered for a while last i checked and much more expensive.

it doesn't matter what trim comes around the switch if you find it the way i did as the switch panel pops out completely.

check out the photos in my build thread for more detail and the install.

I got a few sets that is for the F series without front fog light.
You can switch the board and the button to get it work on the F15.
Coding if very easy. Should be on my cheatsheet.

i always laugh at those who are driving around with rear fogs on, when there is no fog. it looks like they're riding the brake pedal.

And that is exactly why we don't get them here in America... too many idiots would drive around with them on all the time, just like they do with their front fog lights.

I did this mod on my E70, but I recall there was a pin & wire to add to add from the switch to the footwell module...

Things are different on the F15? No extra wiring required?

Also, can you post a link to your install?
