Thanks for bumping this up. Just found a net still in the package in the 2014 CPO I just got. Guess the previous owner didn't know about it.

I had a cargo net in mine. I checked right after deliver and there it was. I wouldn't have ever looked in there without this thread. Thanks!

Can't believe it, got a 15 X5 a week or so ago, checked the area because of this thread and lo and behold, there was the net, all nice and wrapped up! Bonus and thanks!!!'

Yeah, I would hate for someone unsuspecting to purchase a cargo net for the X5 without checking the secret compartment.

I am still unsure why BMW put these free accessories in there without educating the dealers about the net and where they are located. Or at least make is more obvious by placing a bright colored removable sticker by the compartment letting the owner know about the cargo net.

Unfortunately the net is excluded in Canadian X5's. Does anyone know the part number to the upright one? I'm using one from my Jeep GC but would be nice to get the BMW OEM version.

Same thing here. Picked up a '14 CPO X5d this past weekend and the cargo net was still wrapped. Another thing I found in the storage compartment under the floor was a black zippered BMW pouch that had a quart of oil and a foldable funnel. I have the spare tire and this pouch was tucked under the black plastic cover that holds the tire iron and whatnot. Anyone else have this or was it just something the previous owner bought separately and stashed there?

I think it was the previous owner that left it there. You X5 probably used oil a lot more than usual.

That's odd, I picked up a 2017 X5 last Saturday in Toronto and the net was tucked away in the trunk side compartment.

In Europe or Canada and I am guessing other parts of the world, your X5 must have a some sort of storage option to have the cargo net included.

Picked up yesterday from the Performance Center and the cargo net was included in the driver's side storage in the back.

The delivery specialist knew of the net...probably slightly better than your average dealer.

Yes that must be it then, because I had a "Storage Compartment Package" in my options list.

Thanks. I had no idea that was in there. Now I can stop the stroller from rolling around back there maybe!

I found the net itself, I'm not quite sure how to hook it up to the car! The picture on OP thread is not quite the same as my car. Is that a F15? Please advise!

Best solution is use a longish bungee cord. There are pop out hooks for the ends on both sides of the trunk.

It takes me 1 extra minute to load the stroller and tie it down every time but works like an absolute charm.

I swear we need a thread here for dad-lyfe!

No net for me in my 2015 X5 with storage package unfortunately. Wondering if someone removed it pre-delivery or at service/maintenance visits...
