Never used it, but my car came with it installed from factory.

I might want to try the VLD coding. Let me know how it works for you after you do it .

I did VO code 6NS on 2 F15 and few others F Series.
It work perfectly fine. Just hope BMW doesn't remove the hardware to the cheaper one where you can't just code it.

we followed same steps that @skalberti mentioned in the first page of this thread.

Add 6NS to your VO and then VO code HU_NBT, you do not need to remove anything from the VO first

do you think we missed any steps @r33? If this is correct. I will just remove that, VO code HU_NBT and will code it again to make sure it was implemented right.

Haha, sorry forgot about that, buddy. I think I might try this tomorrow because I was on a upward hill signaling to go left with only my low beams and LED fogs on, and oncoming traffic was coming downhill. A Chevy Silverado flashed me thinking I had my high beams on. I was like seriously? Come on, guy. Imagine if I had LEDs, lol.

The only reason I'm holding back is because I have so much BDC_Body coding done, lol.

Did you have 6NH in your FA? If so, remove it and make sure 6NS is there instead. Then write it to your car the FA instructions sate. Then VO Code HU_NBT. Also, after this is finished, you should have the option to pair a second phone. You have to forget all bluetooth phones first and then try again. If that doesn't work, you should turn off the car bluetooth and then turn it back on, then try to find your new phones. I read this long specifically on this page regarding trial and error and tips: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...=722706&page=7. Our combox is directly within HU_NBT so that's all we have to VO Code.

@Hang0ver, as @opasha mentioned, make sure that you remove the 6NH before you added 6NS.
Also, when you about to code the HU_NBT, make sure that you re-read the FA and ECU again. Just to be sure that you are on the updated FA.
Did that mistake once and was about to slam my laptop.

@opasha, @shawnsheridan, @r33 : got this error when coding CAFD after VO coding. According to VO coding instructions, it mentioned to Read SVT, but that returned error. So, I did read ECU and then coded KAFAS2, etc.

Is that the reason for this? A quick google found some results to me from Token master saying this is caused by incompatible psdzdata files. But it doesn't affect coding. Please share your thoughts. Also, if we can add these to the OP, it might be helpful as one stop shop for others.

Just did my VLD coding and did a small 1/4 mile drive with expired temp tags ... Its pretty dark here and I can see the lights turning and moving during the drive thanks for your help.

Also to note, when I did code KAFAS2, etc, they generated below error, but the last popup showed everything in green. Which I assume went well.

OP updated with reference to QUICK TIP #2 that I had forgotten to write. This deals with @Hang0ver's error post above. Thanks @Hang0ver for bringing this to my attention .

2) In order to avoid any VCM update errors (this does not affect your coding), go to the top of ESYS and click Options > Settings > Options tab. UNCHECK BOTH "Update VCM after TAL execution" and "Update MSM after TAL execution." This is what I had read a while back by @shawnsheridan for our F15 coding. I had unchecked these when I first installed ESYS but forgot to list this. EVERYONE MAKE SURE TO DO THIS so you avoid VCM update error codes like the one @Hang0ver got on post #146. Even if you get an error, it does not harm your coding; to avoid this error, just uncheck those two options I mentioned.

You should UNCHECK BOTH "Update VCM after TAL execution" and "Update MSM after TAL execution" for all chassis, not just F15.

As for Read ECU instead of Read SVT, it is like this for F15 only, and I do not have an explanation as to why. For 15, you must also increase E-Sys memory option from 512 MB to 1024 MB, or in most cases you won't be able to read BDC Module as it is so big.

Where do you think I learned most of my complicated coding from?

Shawn's a great guy and a big help to the whole BMW community.

As always, thank you @shawnsheridan.
