When was idrive 6 introduced into the F15 was it early this year or is it a recent addition ?

Idrive 6 is rolling out now on MY18 X5 that started production on September 1

It is both Hardware and Software. If you have HU_NBT2 with ID5, you can code ID6..

We're past halfway September, BMW didn't update their website either, does anyone know when can we expect the 18 model online configurator to be up?

It seems like it should be very soon, as I understand it should be timed with them arriving at dealers and I believe people are just starting to take delivery of '18s.

I believe you can code “iDrive 6.0 Lite” which is the same features bar touchscreen! Fill 6.0 and not lite is hardware!

HMI_VERSION stays ID5
HMI_ID_VERSION changes to id6_light

Anyone having a problem with the connect drive. I cant get any of my online apps or widgets to work. I want the weather on my split screen.

I've done the coding to ID6 Lite in my MY17 X5 and it works great (just you get a picture of a 7 series instead of X5 in the graphic on the main menu for the "My Vehicle" tile).

Also noticed that in the Map settings, sometimes the checked boxes to show satellite view, weather and 3-d buildings become unchecked randomly, but that's easy to re-check.

Vehicle pictured depends on firmware. There exists a picture for F15 and F16, among others. Only fix is a dealership update.

Hi, do you find id6 lite better that id5. I have 2017 and am thinking about update. Any other menues changed, graphics, etc? Are tiles active?

Titles are active and it is not an update. If you do not like, you can always code back.
