Navigation Map Update

Is there a way to update the navigation map on our system without paying BMW extra $$? Maybe included within the first few years?

You don't have to pay BMW, there are so many ways to get the updated map. Then you can generate the code to make it work for free.

If you have a Connected Drive account, you can update your map free within 3 years or depending how long you are signed up for. I did this recently and downloaded new maps on a USB stick and transferred to the car through the glove box USB port.

That?s what I though... I logged in online but did not see anything but instructions on how to install it after you downloaded it....

How did you get to that screen... when I go to bmw-connectedrive.com it does not show me this at all...

https://connecteddrive.bmwusa.com/cd...n?locale=en_US is where I have to log on in the US... and I get a totally different screen but see no dashboard even thogh by connected drive should be active based on my account overview until 2025...
