Hi,

I have a 30d 2016 f15 and recently ive been getting vibration on the accelerator pedal when idling and also vibrations occur when taking of from stand still.
I also have a slight vibration at low speeds, the wheels have been balanced and also has 4new tyres including a transfer case oil service.

Can engine mounts cause vibrations at slower speeds?

This is how my mounts look right now,

Thnks

The passenger side one normally goes first. Vibration at idle is the main symptom. Sometimes they’ll leak fluid form the bottom, sometimes not. After some time 70-100k miles they start to collapse and lose the ability to smooth the engine vibrations.

How many miles do you have?

Open the hood and ask someone to switch gears, if your engine moves when you shift form P to D or R, it is most likely failed engine mounts, I need to replace mine since my idle vibrations increased recently.

Would love to see some DIY on this. Doesn’t look like a fun job… especially if you have XDrive.

Time to get new motor mounts already. See it hitting the base of the mount.
