M Sport + DHP

I understand lots of people were talking about DHP before, but I have a specific question related to the cost of DHP.

I understand that M Sport (at least in certain countries like Canada) offers:
- 1 axel air-suspension
- Dynamic Damper Control

The Dynamic Handling Package (or Dynamic Adaptive Suspension), offers
- Active Roll Stabilization
- Dynamic Performance Control
- 1 axel air-suspension
- Dynamic Damper Control

So effectively, 2 of the DHP (Dynamic Adaptive Suspension) are already part of the M-Sport.

If I buy both, should the price for DHP be cheaper than the $3500 (Canada)?

If not, (as I can not find two cars to try out) will the extra DHP features worth the $3.5K?

Can't I just order the 2 extra features outside of the DHP package?

Thank you.

I ordered both. I know what you're getting at. Since it's redundant to get two packages that have overlapping features, you want to order just one package and separately order the ones that are missing from the second package. I understand the concept, but I don't believe you can do that. Although BMW is pretty good at giving its customers features a la carte, I don't believe this is one that is possible.

In saying that, you will not be disappointed with getting both packages. From the past announcements of forum members' delivery of their F15's, M-Sport is the most popular line (not to say that it's the best line). I'm sure each member has their own reason(s) for choosing the M-Sport line, but whatever it/they may be, M-Sport line seems to be the most popular.

DHP is fantastic! Pricey, but, IMHO, well worth it. I, previously, drove an Audi S5. I can't say this SUV has the same handling dynamics, but it's pretty damn good for its weight and size. One thing I wanted to avoid when getting a SUV was that top heavy roll. And I believe this package does a great job eliminating it.

+1 on DHP.. Well worth the money. I love it. I will never buy a bmw without it.

Thank you all for the feedback.

So yes the dealer confirmed that no credit, no al a cart. It is either DHP full price or not.

I think I will go with it. I used to drive MDX and it had somewhat similar torque vectoring but only on acceleration. I can say it was helping in corners a lot.

Good choice! You'll love the DHP.

Now you can corner like no other SUVs....given that you have two additional things:
1) Grippy tires
2) Balls

Has anyone gone from having DHP, then back to M Sport suspension, and still find it acceptable? I had anti-roll function on my E70 before, and about to order my 30d M Sport 7 seater, can't do the professional handling pkg, and really don't want to do without Specs of a M Sport.
