Help with a Deal 2014 CPO X5

Hi there,

My wife currently has a 2006 X3 3.0 with about 108k miles. It has an oil leak that has already cost me about $500 and will need tires/brakes in the next year. We also have 3 kids and outgrown this vehicle a few years ago. I need a new family truckster. Neither of us have any interest in a minivan. We don't like any of the domestic SUVs and we're a BMW family. Plus, we drove the RRS and it really wasn't all that great.

I found a 2014 X5 with the n55, 35k miles Msport Space Gray with black dakota leather. it also has the cold weather package and the package with HuD and all the other crap. It also has the 3rd row and air suspension./ We test drove it tonight, quite the step up from her current ride. Here's where we got:

Sticker $46k
Sales Price $42k
Trade $3k
Tax $2,730
Interest Rate 2.9%

How did I do? Think there's anything left in the deal? It has the CPO warrenty until 7/2020 and the maint through 7/18.

Think there's any room left in this?>

It looks like its quite oaded. You made the deal which means you were happy with it so that's all that matters. Enjoy the ride!

I didn't buy it yet... I was thoroughly impressed with the dealer until he saw us waivering and said they had someone else look at it last night and they might be in to buy it this weekend.. I laughed. We're looking for 2014/15 CPO, I don't have any worries about finding another./

If it were for me, I feel you still have room for negotiation. It's a 2014 model with 35k miles. Quite high mileage. Dealers will always say in order to get rid of the car as soon as possible.

A 2014 with 35,000 miles is not a lot. That's 3.5 years of potential driving, or 10K per year! Under average...

I would have thought it was 2 years of driving which will be 28000km per year but then i thought about it again and yours makes sense.

That's not too bad; dealer offered us $1500 for a 2005 Cayenne Turbo with no issues whatsoever.

Recently bought a comparable 2014 cpo. It was a luxury line with 38k mi, mint condition, desirable color combo (white/mocha). They weren't willing to move much from the 42k sticker, but gave us a fair offer on the trade in (5k for loaded 2008 accord v6 with 150k miles) so we went with it.

I would say getting them down 4K from sticker is good, although also surprised at how low the x3 trade in value is (guess hondas really do hold value). Fwiw we ended up at 1.9% financing, so you can probably do better there. BMW initially offered us something around 3% and we said in that case we will just go through our bank at 1.9%. They came back and matched....explore your options

I think they didn't want to deal trying to auction it off, so they just made up a bunch of BS like coolant leaking is a known problem and said the water condensation on the ground was my coolant leaking. We already put quite a bit down for the new car, so they knew we weren't just going to walk away.

Picked it up last night. Love the truck so far. Space grey on black. MSport. Drive asst. They came down plenty on the deal. BMW even covered it and put a big bow on it.

Now I'm just trying to decide if I should paint the wheels black or not.

Nice! Any pics?

Not a huge fan of painting OEM wheels black. Which wheels do you have? Painting wheels black often seems to be a "gotta mod something right off the bat" move...

I think first mod should be getting bigger wheels. The 19"s don't look good on the m-sport

I definitely would not paint those black. The wheels are 19s, and painting them black will make them look even smaller.
