Picking up my 2017 X5 50i tomorrow...

Hey guys,
I'm new to this particular area of the forum. I've had many Bimmers, but never an X5. I'm trading in a 14 Jeep Rubicon 6 speed manual JKU in on this beast. Major quality of life change! haha I'm also giving up my 16 Golf R which I love but my wife hates lol
X5 Options:
[ZDB] Driver Assistance Plus
[337] M Sport Package
[ZEC] Executive Package
[ZCW] Cold Weather Package


Future mods:
M Perf Kidneys - Dealer installing
JB4 asap
H&R Spacers 12mm front 15mm rear
IND painted front reflectors
M Perf front and rear carbon spoiler/diffuser
Drop in filter if they can figure it out.
Exhaust?

What's fun is that we are picking up a set of X-Line 19" wheels with snows from a fellow forum member on our way to the dealer, and will have the service department mount them as the forecast calls for SNOW!!

It's a perfect comfy commuter although gas mileage doesn't make it for the faint of heart. If i didnt have a sports car i would have regretted not getting the x5M but since I do, the cushy ride makes it ideal for me. Plus i can tow said sports car to the track!

I hope you got the upgraded suspension at the very minimum Adaptive M Suspension as it really helps with the handling of the X5.

I didn't really like this color on the E70 X5 but I really like it on the F15 - great choice on color and motor

I didn't and I'm sort of kicking myself now. Although I think a set of springs and a sway bar would tighten things up just right.

1) get it home
2) de-badge
3) order and install black M Performance grilles
4) order and install body colour markers from iND / RG Sport
5) order black roundels from iND
6) paint exhaust tips black

Steps to follow...

1) g̶e̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶h̶o̶m̶e̶ get it out there and run it in - NOW!
2) d̶e̶-̶b̶a̶d̶g̶e̶ put them back on. You paid for a 50i, not a s25d!
3) order and install black M̶ ̶P̶e̶r̶f̶o̶r̶m̶a̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶g̶r̶i̶l̶l̶e̶s̶ X5M double spoke grill replica, get the X5M satin chrome surround.
4) order and install body colour markers from iND / RG Sport - Bad Luck USA market
5)o̶r̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶b̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶e̶l̶s̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶i̶N̶D̶ - Get Alpina ones, you're not faking it cos' there's no Alpina F15!
6) p̶a̶i̶n̶t̶ ̶e̶x̶h̶a̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶t̶i̶p̶s̶ ̶b̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ get your choice of exhaust, hopefully it has a cf tip option.
7. MOST IMPORTANT! Don't do black wheels, Don't mess with the suspension (DHP?).
8. DO keep your ears peeled for Pure Turbos N63tu upgrade. They've got a 550i running 650whp....I want that!
