M-Sport Lower Grill Removal...

Does anyone on here have a link to ETKA or something similar showing how to remove the driver's side grill?

I would like to swap to a matching grill, I attempted today and it is locked into the bumper bracket and it feels as if it is pressed against the bumper support padding.

Do I have to remove the bumper to install this grill?

Cleanest way is from behind the bumper via removal of the fender liner. Look up Ben's how-to regarding swapping out the sidemarkers. Shows you step by step how to remove the liner. You'll need to buy a few replacement plastic rivets...

Will this work for replacing the lower grille? The instructions give you access to the fender.

You need to access inside the fender liner to remove the lower grill.

So will these instructions allow me to replace the lower grille? Or do I still need to take off the entire vendor cover?

the problem i am having is removing the actual grill. it slides into tabs on the bumper brackets and against the bumper crash-pad.

Pull out the bumper skin to give you that extra gap to slide out the grill.
So many people are using my DIY and never had issues with getting them done.

Uhm, it is hard to explain.
Seems like you need a professional to get this done.

Based on your instructions it looks like you're taking the wheel liner apart to retain the clips on the old vent cover, but if yoi don't have interest in putting that back, can't you just rip it out by wiggling and pulling really hard? The retaining clips will either come out or break off. If the latter it just collect on the bottom of the fender liner where it won't move or anything (so no noises).

Just my thinking...

Well, the removal is not that painfull. It is better to have the clips all intacts. Because you will need it to replace the new one.
His issue wasn't about undoing the clips. Iconoclast's issue was taking it out from the car since the lower grill is sandwiched between the bumper skin and the crush beam's foam piece.

Glad you got it done bud. I had my front bumper off when I installed mine, did the lower grilles / fins as well as the body colour reflectors at the same time.

Is there a plastic shield or piece which can be installed to mask the belly pan?
Similar to what the opposite side has going into the IC/OC.

Indeed. It's nice to have a community of like-minded individuals contributing towards the greater good. It is greatly appreciated.

Just need to find out if there is a plastic cowl or shield that can fit on the left side to cover the exposed area. Similar to the right side cowl leading into the IC/OC.

How did you get the grill out? Mine doesn't want to budge and I'm not trying to break stuff.
