2015, 50i has one on each side. Use them often. Strange the newer models only have one.

I found out about the grocery hook on first day of taking delivery. My 2015 also has the hooks on both sides. I usually check every part of the car when I receive them.

i would rather have larger than more. in addition installed higher up.
i purchased the adaptive trunk railing and prefer it over the hooks or the net or the use of the four noisy anchors.

That is how mine is set up as well. Very odd because it is such an odd thing to skimp on unless there is something related to options which prohibits a hook on the right for some. No idea at this point.

I finally remember to run the VINs through the decoder to get the production dates.
The X5 with the hook on the driver's side has a production date of 8/22/16 and the X5 with the hook on the passenger side has a production date of 9/16/16.

Please post a photo of what the right side looks like with the additional hook.
I am very curious to see this along with what makes some get the extra hook and others to get "gypped".

It is right next to the power outlet. I'll try and snap a pic at some point.

I was hoping to see a photo. I was browsing the parts catalog and I do not see an option for it.

I suppose one could buy as many hooks as you want and install them in the car. I'm sure there is a part number for them
