Temperature?

Hello dear F15 riders. I have a quick question to ask. It has been fairly cold around my area for the past few days. Night temperature around 12F and during day time is around 20F.
Ot the attached picture my temperature gauge shows just barely north of 140 after 30 min of driving. Is this normal? The reason i ask is because as far as I can remember temperature gauge used to showing much warmer temp.
Thank you)))[IMG][/IMG]

The needle is north of 140, not south (unless you're in Australia?).

It's actually reading just south of 200, likely something in the 185 range. Perfectly normal. On the plus side, the engine fans won't have to stay on as long after you shut the car off...it'll save you some battery.

3.0 V6, Stock oil ( meaning whichever dealer puts in there, oil change was done 832.4 miles ago)

My "normal" temperature was always definitely higher than it is now. I am sorta old school and always watch those things.

agreed, hard to tell exact temperature. Parallax error abound with the photo here. But I would not be concerned either. Especially if OP just did a cold start and drove with near constant light throttle in a neighborhood.

BTW in Australia, needle goes backwards?! lol

I know in Soviet Russia, car thermometer probes you!

12 miles of driving, 32 min. And yes, those thermometers in Mother Russia can do all kinds of things)))

I'm assuming, constant speed neighborhood type driving too? It happens especially in cold weather cold starts...just going to take longer.

You want to elevate oil temps? Rev that shit up and idle for 10 minutes That's what we pretty much do here in all urban locations in CA on a daily basis!
