guys what are your thoughts on this BridgeStone Deuler H/P RFT All Season:
http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/35...T-RFT-(BMW)-XL

It is also a confirmed tire on BMW USA...
My intension is to find a rubber that i can replace with the Performance and not change every 6 months...
also it seems there is a spoiler or something around the wheel that has been formed around the 20' rims...if you change the config to 19' you will see that the trim around the body of the car changes...so I would want the 20 rims with a all season tire...19' package may not look good on this car anymore...
I've had All season RFT's both on my previous X3 and my current 3series...I can't complain...and I live in Canada!
I'll bite the bullet if I have to and buy the 4 set...it is certainly much cheaper than the $4300 package of winter tire, then I have to change every 6 months...later I'll try to sell the summer tires (as they are new)...
It seems I don't have a lot of options on the 20' all season...this one seems to be all season AND rft... thoughts?

You seem interested in protection packages. So make a deal, key is not to NOT use the 20's. Alternatively, buy 19's and sell the 20's on consignment. Easier to deal them if new.
dealer told me since the tires have been mounted on the car, they are considered as "used" even if not actually used...

Really, when I picked up my F25 the Parts guy wanted to swap my 18's and upsell me 19's, as long as I did not yet take delivery.

Also, for my dealer the winter t/wheel packages, the tire mounting on rim is sub-contract out. Dealer only installs and balance. Based on your analogy they come to dealer as used? Your dealer seems inflexible.

If your dealer fails to work with you, and you do buy a new set, see if your tire guy will assist you in selling as consignment, as I recall another member doing just that.

I believe people buy them from tirerack.com, ship them to a UPS box in the nearest US city then drive south to pick them up.

No mention of whether these are AS or performance tyres

My dealer told me 469M are all season, while 451 are performance summer.

469M are MSport Wheels and definitely come with performance tires.

They ship to Canada.
Blimey, this is as clear as mud

Maybe it's different in Canada and US to what is sold in the UK?
Either way seems like BMW lack constancy in their product line.

I've asked BMW UK Customer Services what's what.

Will update when they revert.

While that makes sense, the dealer clearly said that they are all-season and last longer than the ones on 451 style.

I checked the ordering guide and it mentions performance only with 451 not the 469M.

I think in Can/US 451 & 469M are both mixed & perf. The info by BMW is not always correct. BMW Canada also in there X5 press release said that the S drive is available in Can, not true. They just took the US press release from NJ and edited for pricing and changed imperial to metric. We have also seen errors in publications about the cameras. If it was me, I would just get the dealer to confirm in writing whatever they promise, in event follow up is required.

If I did not know about the 20's being perf/tires then I would not be too happy as I would have for sure got them. I debated it for a week decided against for the following. Love the 20's size only. Hate the 20's for RFT snows availability, storing extra set and swapping 2X/yr, and big extra cost.

Also, if you get tire/wheel warranty they only cover star approved tires, so if your winters are Non/RFT or RFT but not star approved you are not covered.

I was told by my dealer that mixed tires refers to the staggered formation and hence 2 different sizes or "mixed" tires. Not sure why the description is different for the 451. Either way, the word mixed doesn't convey anything about whether they are summer performance or otherwise so I asked and got the correct answer.

^^^ Correct ^^^

The reason I did not choose 20" is that both styles come with Summer Performance Tires.

The 19"s come with either Goodyear Eagle LS-2 or Pirelli Scorpion All-Season Tires

Correct, the 20's are all mixed, hence not squared. Icraete posted is what BMW issued. Problem is, they state 1) one wheel/tire says Mixed and 2) the other says performance. Easy for one to assume from 1) that it is A/S and 2) it is square. I think that there descriptions should be more explicit and accurate. One needs to keep both eyes open on BMW.

It really sucks that they didn't tell you about the performance tires but I don't think you should pay those crazy prices they are quoting you either or run 19s for half the year. If you just want 20s all year round and not to fuss with changing wheels or tires every season, this is a great solution.
+1

I went with the DWS and have driven them through two snow storms, over plenty of ice and on slushly roads. Highly recommend.

anyone has any thoughts on BMW / Bridgestone DUELER H/P SPORT RFT (BMW) XL All season:
http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/35...T-RFT-(BMW)-XL
I get this search for 2014 X6...the numbers are exactly as my performance tires on the F15 X5's :
275/40 R20 (front) & 315/35 R20 (rear)
do these fit then? and are these a good RFT/all season? has any one experienced this?

There is a compartment for it in the trunk. It's used for storage if you have RFTs or the space saver spare if you don't. I mentioned this solution for you a few posts up.
