Whats the word on the weight I wonder?

Only 25hp up on the old model, hopefully it will have less weight to lug around.

Don't expect too much, F15 still largely rides on the E70 platform, and even though new suspension design utilized lighter steel and contributed a weight saving of 90KG on the platform, EU's tougher safety and various other laws meant BMW still had to add on whatever it is they had to add on because Auto Express weighted the new 30D and it was only 5KG lighter than E70 30D.

Oh well, at least it's not heavier.

Not a huge deal from the E70 X5M i guess.
If we put it into perspective with the original E53 with the Le mans V12 tested with Hans Joachim stuck
This sounds like a fart in comparison, The E53 X5M should've been made imo, it's epic!

Awesome SUV, not as epic as the Renault Espace F1 though.

Damn, the new x5m is a beast. It seems soo fast around the corners, I'm scared to see it flip over...

I don't care much about power figures (555 or 580bhp is the same for me) and styling but I care a lot about driving dynamics. This car MUST drive better than the Cayenne Turbo S or I won't buy it, not a chance! It must drift as well! And not just on wet surfaces. In this respect the previous x5m was a huge disappointment! This car should be the ultimate "Impreza"!

Not sure why... but this new X5 reminds me of a Dodge Durango.

This crap of sliding calipers in the rear is simply cheap and out of character in these cars. Especially in carbon brakes. That's beyond absurd.

Thanks.
Ever think to wonder why? Try the electro-mechanical parking brake
