Anti-Dazzle question.

How well does it work in urban areas? I just had mine coded and it difficult to tell if it's working. I'm guessing the high beam indicator light will go on and within that on time frame that's when they are actually working? I had to turn into some dark streets for the high beams to activate but there are no other cars that are there to see any of the HBA working. So I really dont know. So far its been On and off. No left side dip and right side on. Any other way to know?

With the light switch in the "Auto" position and the engine on, do your low beams look as shown in the OP in this thread?

Well when it comes on you should clearly see and like you said the blue indicator on your dashboard will light up to. Just as a note, if the GFHB/NHGB won't come on if there is to much light, streetlight ect...also it does not activate at speeds below 45mph. Hope that helps. And everything has to be coded correctly obviously.

Just like HBA, I would never use it in an urban setting anyway. Not what it was meant for. If you're just confirming that the coding worked, go for a nice evening drive in the countryside so to speak.

And why is that? If you feel that anti-dazzle is something that you would not want to use in a urban environment, it is most likely not coded correctly. It might of course not activate if the camera detects street lighting, but that is a different consideration.

Because there is just no real need in a city/metropolitan area (in GENERAL). With so much ambient light/light pollution, both HBA and AntiDazzle wouldn't activate most of the time, or if they did, there'd be a lot on short bursts of on/off switching.
Naturally, your specific area/situation may be conducive for both, but I don't recall the last time I flicked on the high beams when in the city, other than to flash people who thought my highs were on due to all four LEDs being activated.
