Per his/her post further down... looks like a an error code was thrown after installation of the Bavsound subs so he/she are asking how to clear it.
Short answer, OP, is that you can do it via the OBDII/ESys coding methods we all use to tweak certain settings to our liking. If you don't know what I'm talking about here, read the master BMW Coding thread to familiarize yourself. Question, though... are you sure unplugging the seat is really what threw the error? I don't recall others who upgraded to the Ghosts mentioning anything like that. What error would be thrown? Any details from the car at all?

I do know for sure, because I didn't have that error before. I'm getting a message on my idrive screen that there is an error with the restraint system and to continue using the seat belt but see my service center. I'm also getting a error on my main dash cluster. Just looks like this needs to be reset or maybe it will do it itself.

I would unplug and reseat the connectors under the seat and see if that helps. Otherwise, you may get lucky after letting the car sleep overnight.
Dealer trip may be necessary as I personally wouldn't want to worry about whether my side airbags were or were not ready to deploy. Good luck.

When I installed the ghost subs I was careful not to unplug the seats as I read a warning that doing so would trigger an error code that would need to be reset by the dealer.
If you unplugged the seats that is probably the cause of it. |
