Finally delivered!!

We took delivery of our 2015 X6 yesterday.
Here is a quick description of our delivery.

Our delivery was scheduled for 0915 on Saturday, 07 Feb. We traveled to Würzburg, Germany, Friday night and stayed the night at the Maritim Hotel.
I noticed these two out front and snapped a couple pics. I knew someone important was in the hotel when I seen what appeared to be Secret Service agents roaming around.



We enjoyed some sushi at Mai Sushi located across the street from the hotel. Then some swimming and relaxing at the hotel pool and sauna.


We arrived at Rhiein BMW and were quickly greeted by our delivery agent.

After completing some more paper work she escorted us over to our new baby.

note: the tires and rims on it in the pics are not the 20" M-Sport rims that we ordered it with, these are the 19" M-Sport rims with Pirelli winter tires. The 20"s came with summer performance tires so they are sitting in our garage and will be the summer set while the 19" will be the winter wheel/tire set.

Yeah, they were really nice. There were several "agents" standing by them taking a smoke break (imagine that in Europe) and gave me some funny looks when I was snapping the pics.

Congrats! Bavarian does it right with their delivery. We thoroughly enjoy going to Würzburg when we got our X5d. Congrats and looks sweet! Delivery time is the only negative...they just don't have that many allocations, so it always takes a long time to get SAVs....

Ohh.. The front bumper reflector just an eye sore IMO.

I think the interior color combo/seats are nice, great and practical "compromise" between one of the single colors.

Super, once run-in the autobahn calls! Had mine at 130mph yesterday and it was silent. Could have gone much faster, but not quite run-in yet. Not sure about the steering though, still quite light, even in Sport-Plus compared to E70.

No, we don't have to make any modifications. Both of the vehicles in the pics are US spec.

Just curious, why did you buy a US spec??

Many reasons but the main ones would be 1) I'm American 2) I'll take it back to the US someday 3) saved a lot of $$$/€€€
