Dynamic Suspension for M50D

Hi Guys, I test drove the X5 M50D without dynamic handling suspension and found the vehicle very light on straight line easy tram-lined, and vague on cornering, not impressed at all.
My question is ...... will Dynamic suspension put this "looseness" right?.
It rolled quite a bit too.

Hi,

At least here, the M50D is not available with DHP As far as I understood from various members, the DHP does make a BIG difference in terms of handling and body roll. So far, my car has been in break-in period, so i haven't really floored it or driven it aggressively, but I do get the feeling that there will be body roll, if i push a little harder. I guess Sport, and Sport + modes should make a difference here, but I have yet to test them after the non-required oil change after the break-in period that I am planning to do this week.

What sort of MPG are you getting?, I got 26.9MPG mixed out of town driving here in the UK in this X5M50D, never blasted it once, I thought it should do more TBH.

32mpg commuting at max 50mph and some town making avg speed around 30mph. I am impressed as my E70 single turbo was about the same when new.

Let me put it this (obvious way): M50d in Sport(+) is a nice drive and handles well for what it is (an SUV), but you can't beat the physics - your M6 GC CP will still be running circles around it (and the new X5M for that matter) and you will have far more fun in it

I must add that I have read several (like two or so) reviews were it was stated that for the M50d the airsuspension setup is more hard, like it is different from the rest with the Mpackage. I only read that after I have decided not to go with the M50d because it was too much and too little to offer in terms of extras. I considered some other extras more important for myself and the family. Whoever got an M50d I sincerely congratulate them, it is a baddass car.
