Update on BC racing coil over set up…
Still running 16k swift in front … Just changed from 20k to 22k swift in rear and lowered another 1/2 inch. Was able to decrease shock firmness by 4 click (only adjusted once ao far) Rides great! No bottom out for two weeks now and it’s a daily. Was able to get stance I wanted |

Def need a big break kit of some kind! Just not trying to spend 3k on breaks !
Last time I drove it hard and was “drifting” a little … breaks were shit! I’ll take break solutions that won’t break the bank lol |

I actually found a good (IMO) happy medium in that regard - I was able to put together the brake package from the M50D without having to import anything. It is ultimately the same as the X6 Activehybrid which was released in the US. You may be able to do something similar. Still single piston up front, but very substantial (385mm rotors in front). And the rear axle is the same setup from the 50i, so those parts are easy to come by. Just a thought.

I got the M Performance Brake kit, the OEM one. There was some coding involved by the dealer to optimize the anti lock braking and the pedal. The performance of the brakes is much improved - so worth it. Your build looks amazing. Have been following it since day 1 here 👏

https://www.ebay.com/itm/11554385294...mis&media=COPY I went with Brembo rotors which are $260 for the front: https://www.ebay.com/itm/15449386272...mis&media=COPY $154 for rear: https://www.ebay.com/itm/35360508950...mis&media=COPY You can reuse rear dust shields but you will need new front ones (this says left but message the seller and he can send you both left and right) - $25 per https://www.ebay.com/itm/12508780752...mis&media=COPY I also got mine powdercoated professionally as close to BMW M blue as possible using a Prismatic Powder color. That is of course optional and I could’ve saved a bunch and used caliper paint especially given they were off the truck initially. I also initially went with Brembo ceramic pads and didn’t like them so I switched to OEM. You can reuse existing brake lines. |

Thank you brother !
Bimmerinvasiin was amazing and was a great show to unveil the finished product ! I lost best suv to a car that had company sponsor (damn politics) … So next year I just come stronger ! Next on list…. Air bags. Red interior. Big boost turbo (550hp tune) Big break kit And re-do all carbon fiber in “white carbon fiber” 😈 eventually will build a closed deck n55 for a 800hp street tune (M killer hehe) Who knows where my imagination will take me this year! |
