Can only lock one side of the cargo cover

I am trying to install the retractable trunk / cargo cover.

Either the left side or the right side will lock into place. I cannot get both sides to lock, so when I pull the retractable cover one side is moving forward.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a trick to get the cargo cover installed or in the "lock" positions on both sides?

Are you following the instructions in the owners manual (or the manual embedded in iDrive)?

The lock is on the right side…but I slide the whole cartridge up to the posts…but make sure the left side goes in first, then I press the right side to lock it into place.

Yes I did, but when the left side lock I can't lock the right side. I can only lock one side. It's so wired.

I press the left side first and it has the clicking sound, but when I press the rigth side it don't have clicking sound and can't lock. I can also press the right side to lock it but when the right side locked the left side doesn't have clicking sound and can't lock

Check the cargo cover cartridge to see if there’s something stuck where they slide into the locking posts.

How much pressure are you using to lock the cover when trying to engage it on the right side (where the lock release button is located)?

And you’re positive you have the cartridge turned correctly (not installing it upside down)? Only asking because we are not there to get a visual of what is occurring.
