What is this tab on front bumper?

I was having the windshield replaced (yea, I know - how did this happen with a windshield replacement…), and the field tech punched in this tab somehow. It looks like it was glued in? I was thinking if I could get a strong suction cup on the piece, I could glue around it and pull the piece back into place. Otherwise, I need a way to push it into place from behind, and can't see how to get access.

This is on the front bumper on a 2016 x5 msport (which has a differ bumper I think than the non msport).

Any help or guidance on the fix would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Headlight washer door. Never seen it in action but I know it's there.
It probably pivots out to the right to reveal the sprayer.

Thanks! It should not push in like that, removal instructions seem to show using a credit card like removal to pry it out, not push it in.

Any idea (anyone) what's broken and what needs purchased?

May not be broken. Mya just be jammed in. It's just a little motor. Try pulling it out. Not sure what a credit card will do. Maybe try activating them to see if it resets

See if you can straighten it out to align with the bumper. Perhaps the cover just came in lipped and can be snapped on…lets cross our fingers that it isn’t broken.

The washer jet pops out when you use the windshield washer AND the headlights are on. It will not work if the headlights are NOT on.

Have someone else initiate the headlight washer so that you can prevent something else going wrong…like getting caught or twisted if the cover is only loose and not broken off.

The cover (#5 in diagram below) snaps on to the spray nozzle (#1 in the diagram below):
