I know you’re asking about an X5 but I assume the wheel/tire options are the same.
BMW 623M is the wheel I purchased for my winter set, they came wrapped in Pirelli 255/50 R19 winter tires. I used them last winter here in Germany and they performed very well.
The photo on top is the winter set I purchased from BMW and the photo on the bottom is the 20” staggered set that came with the summer performance tires. Sadly I have to put the 19” set back on next week.
This is an American spec X6, not European.

Another look at the 19” M wheel winter tire setup.

Winter wheel & tire M Double Spoke 623M. While they may not be the best looking set, they are OEM and an affordable winter setup.

Looking for some help here as well.

Have an E70 35d which I'm trading in for an M Sport 40e. I have a spare set of 19" Pirelli Ice and Snow with two winters on them. Probable one or two left.

The order I have in is for the 19" 467 wheels. I can either stick with these and put on the winters I have right away (mid Nov) or upgrade to 20's from factory and get a set of winter 19" rims. OR, buy a set of 20" rims and tires in the spring. Wondering what makes he most sense since I'm on 36 mo leases and always need to trade in with good tires on car.

Any suggestions? I probably have to modify build this week as it will probably lock sooner than later. Thanks!

I remember when I used to live in Oakville which must have been at least 15 years ago now because I graduated from Mcmaster in 2005. My mother had a Volvo S80 with Blizzaks on. Those tires once have saved our lives on QEW right by that BMW dealer in Burlington. I will buy Blizzaks without any second thoughts.
To update you on my status of obtaining winters, I touched bases with the dealer yesterday. Surprisingly, the dealer generously offered brand new 19'' m wheels with Pirelli's for $2000. It sounded too good to be true. We will have to wait and see if they will really deliver that deal or not.

Got to love the Blizzaks! You must have been around Budds BMW (QEW & Bronte). QEW can be wicked. My son is now travelling that everyday. Hopefully the Michelin XIce will keep him safe.

That deal on Winter Rims is exceptional. The BMW Dealership I deal with gave me a 20% discount. They quoted me $4650 + tax for square setup 19" 467M Rims with Pirelli's Scorpions. Curious to know what you will do.

Tried to take a picture today of the 20" vs the 19" I had on the old X5. Unfortunately can't see the 20" so well to compare. I use to think the 19" were wide enough but when I take a look at the 20" I think that is kind of the minimum I would go with. I might buy another Summer set in 21" or 22". I'll see how it goes.
