VIN Check: DHP Package or Not

I am looking at an X5 locally that states in the description that it has DHP. I ran the VIN but I do not see it listed. Maybe I am just missing it. Here is the link.

But can't you tell when you're driving that you either have Adaptive M or DHP?

I have the Adaptive M Suspension I'm just confused what's DHP or what option code is it on the VIN options list

2VP is DHP on mine. 2017 M sport. Might be a different code on a non M sport

The X5 is tricky. Other SA codes can be implied. You may have DHP; but I can confirm later with another car that I know has it.

I'm not so sure that is the case. My vin check shows both 2VF for adaptive M suspension and 2VP for dynamic handling. You can get adaptive M without DHP so I think you would need to see 2VP if the X5 has dynamic handling since it is a separate option

Correct.

You need 2VP plus 2VM or 2VF. You may or may not also see 7SZ. Example: 5UXKS4C31H0Y16130

EDIT: Important code to for which to look is 2VP; without you do not have DHP.

with all due respect, you seem to be confusing the matter. If someone wants to know if they have DHP, they need to look for 2VP. That is all they need to see to confirm they have DHP. No 2VP then no DHP.

My vin check does not show 7SZ at all so your above list would be incorrect However, I can confirm I have DHP because I have 2VP. Example: 5UXKR0C37H0X78374

Further, it is possible to have 2VM or 2VF without having 2VP so the existence of either of those codes on the vin do not imply DHP is on the vehicle.

The OP does not have 2VP on his vin check, so he does not have DHP. Doesn't matter at all if he has 2VM or 2VF. If 2VP is not there, no DHP.

No 2VP for me unfortunately Didn't even know this existed when I bought the car I hate it when you buy a car only to start finding out this and that aren't in your option list...oh well, the X5 is for the wife so it's not that big of a deal...I have the M4

DHP includes Adaptive M Suspension (Dynamic Damper Control + rear air suspension) and adds Active Roll Stabilization and Dynamic Performance Control (torque vectoring rear differential).

2015-2018 Ordering guide shows 7SZ, but I concur that one just needs to locate 2VP to confirm.

2VP is active anti-roll and torque vectoring.
You can have different suspension, stock, 2vf or 2vm. But without 2vp it's not dhp.

In Canada, you can order 2vp without upgrading suspension.

You can also check in iDrive and look for torque vectoring to confirm if you have dhp.

Thanks guys. I confirmed that it did not have the DHP but I negotiated a couple thousand off and walked away with the car. I would have liked to have the DHP but not the end of the world.
