Good to know. I've been a long time fan of them. Always had it in mind to get one but then I ended up with the 50i. No regrets. My moms always had Jeep GC and I've always enjoyed them but she's never had for more than 2 years at a time. And jeep leases are garbage so I didn't want a new one.

I went to look at the GC SRT, wanted a test drive, the sales guy insisted I needed fill out a form, let them run my credit, etc. F that.

Another problem with that platform is if you plan to mod, you have to go FI and build the motor. So you're talking $15k ish to get 150-200 whp safely. On the 50i, you just get a tune and you're in business.

I had actually started stock piling parts in my garage to build that thing until one thing after another went wrong. They were all small, minor things but enough time at the dealership where I was over it.

Ever test drove an M or AMG. It's more like Jeep and less like the others in my experience. They don't want the miles in the cars.

Only M I've test drove was my old E46 M3 but that was used from a private seller. I understand you can't have punk kids putting miles on these cars but people shouldn't have to have their credit ran.

I test drove the Jeep GC SRT before I bought my X5. I had to sign a paper saying if I crash it, I'm responsible. Which is fair. Guy handed me the keys and said enjoy. From the moment it started, with remote start I'll add, I LOVED it. The sound was incredible.
Once I started driving it I loved it even more. Cooled seats that actually cool, not ventilate, ACC,BSM standard. Only issue I seen coming was I was probably getting a lot of tickets in it lol
Fortunately/unfortunately the guy never got back to e with numbers on it so I went with the X5 instead.

That's awesome. I do love the way it looks. And yes love the remote start and the fact that it has front and rear fixed calipers

Yea you’re right, it did have some better options like remote start, cooled seats and ACC. Damn I miss those! But don’t miss the pealing carbon fiber trim and ticking time bomb water pump. And the front end clunk that they could never seem to identify.

Pads are good. Don't no about the rotor quality. For that price hard to say no.

Agreed - local dealer quoted me $2200 to do all 4 corners....hahaha

Think I'll get these and look over the DIY guides before trying a indie.

How do these rotors hold up to corrosion? I can’t stand how the stock rotors get rust and corrosion on them over time.

Other than the surface rust that all rotors get from sitting there, they were fine.

The only AMG car I test drove was a S65 Coupe... and nope, didn't have to fill out any paperwork!
