Issue with Pedestrian Protection System

Hi everyone. Thanks for adding me on the forum. Hopefully you will be able to help me.

I've got a 2014 X5 F15 which has the pedestrian protection system amber warning on and I've read the codes and the error is 930BCC Left-hand pedestrian protection sensor communication fault.

I have watched videos on how to code this system out and I believe I can do it but is it easy to get to and disconnect the required sensors on the X5? Is it definitely required to disconnect these sensors and the pyrotechnic charges.

Or is it easy enough to replace the sensor and get the system up and running again? Not sure I want my bonnet to fly off though in case the system goes crazy lol.
