6wb retrofit

Anybody located in Germany that can help me with a 6WB retrofit? The cluster is used and virginized. Im being told it needs to have the ECU flashed to work properly.

Mine was virginized, but it works OK, except the navigation, which will require cluster flushing. No ECU flash, at least from what my coder told me.
I know somebody who can do the cluster flash, if that's what you mean.

No ECU flash needed, just code it. If cluster is properly virginized just follow the guide here
https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1039855

Super easy. Takes about 20 minutes to code.

Not sure what CAFD file are you talking about? Do you have E-sys and PSDZData files? There is nothing to flash in the cluster except VIN and milage, but that is part of the virginizing process.

Did you check the guide in the retrofit thread? To inject the CAFD you need to

Quote:
Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read ECU (VCM) => Left-Click on DKombi => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" (on the right side menu buttons) => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level (for me this was F025-14-07-502 because I had PSDZData files 53.0. I was then given a list of about 7-10 CAFDs that were all similar in number. You must choose the one that is the latest and has to match your I-Level located on the lower right box in ESYS). For me, I chose the latest version of the folder, and then chose the one that was similar to my I-Level) => Select OK => Right-Click on DKombi (the Dkombi folder itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE
So where is exactly you are getting stuck? On which step?

And you also did step 1 fromt he guide?

Quote:
Add 6WB to FA through ESYS - Add 6WB to your FA in the SALAPA folder.

Yes I did all that! I even had a remote coder look at it that night. We pulled the data from eeprms and discovered there are 2 other vin still there...so it wasn't virginized correctly! Gonna be returning it and getting a brand new one
