Interior Trim Carbon vs. Pianoblack

Hi girls and guys,

I'm going to place an order for x5m in germany in couple of weeks. I've choosen azuritblack with black full merino leather but I can't decide between carbon fibre trim or piano black trim (it's not available in US).

What's your opinion? I think piano black looks classic and elegant, carbon more sportive but with black seats maybe piano would be the better choise? There wouldn't be a color break/change as with carbon trim.

Not easy to help you out!

I have the Piano Black in my X5M , it comes out great with the Silverstone (white) leather.

I'm not a big fan of CB , but I'm not objective if I advise you the Piano Black

Don't you think that full black leather interior will be a little "sad" ?

thanks for pic. looks good - quite elegant like 7series

not sure. I saw amarobrown (individual) and aragonbrown but I can't get warm with the color. IMHO crillobrown doesn't fit to an M car.

I had beige / white in my 3series. Looked good in first year but it gets dirty and you see the straps of jeans or if passangers (girls ) can't handle their shoes and hit the door while getting in the car and so on. Didn't see nutmeg in real - no dealer has one example.

quite difficult to choose a nice combo!

I'm not gonna lie , to keep the leather nice and fresh , I need to clean it quite often !

BMW lent me a 7 series with brown leather , I felt a little claustrophobic inside , I'm used to the light color of my leather.

With full black leather you can't go wrong anyway !
Usually , I like to have more contrast between the paint job and the interior.

I don't find full black leather sad at all. Don't have to clean it as much either!

I had piano black in my individual 750, and it looks really good until couple soft cloth cleaning. Piano black is so easy to get micro scratches, and little swirls.

I have aluminum trace trim

Another thing is since I have that, I don't have to get all the other carbon parts to match it for the interior! Lol
