Help with 22” wheels

Hi,
This is driving me nuts trying to work out whether this set of wheels is possible or not.
I have a 40 d running 21s at the moment:
10J 285/35/r21 et 40 and 11.5J 325/30/r21 et 38

I have been hunting for the evo hamann wheels for a while and a set from an evoque has just come up.
The problem is that they are 10.5j 295/30/22 et 40 non staggered.

Can I run these on mine?
I have put them into a wheel size calculator and the fronts seem ok but the rears seem to recommend 10.5 J 295/30/22 Et 37

Hamann themselves seem to recommend 12J 335/25/22 et 28 at the rear
The car also has the H&R springs and rear links.
What does everyone think? I’m not too sure about a non staggered set up as well.

Many thanks in advance.

Daniel

I don't think you will like the result of those wheels.

+40 is a high offset meaning the wheel will be sucked into the wheel well. On a 10.5 inch wide wheel with a +40mm offset your rears will sit quite a ways inside the wheel well. To give you a comparison to your current wheels, they will sit 15mm farther inside your wheel wells.

You can correct this by adding spacers. Spacers will push your wheels out farther, essentially lowering your offset. You don't want to run too large of spacers because it changes the geometry and leverage force on your hubs and can wear out bearings faster. My personal rule of thumb is I've always tried to stay under 20mm with spacers.

If Hamann recommends a +28 offset with a 12 inch wide wheel, you would need to run a 31mm spacer on a 10.5 +40 wheel to bring it to the same fitment. That's a lot of spacer. You would need to run a 15mm spacer just to get them to the same fitment as your current 21's.

In fact, you could test that by putting your front 21's on the rear and seeing how far they get sucked in. They are only a .5 inch narrower but the same offset, so they will sit very close to how the 10.5 wide will.
