Amazing forum!
Read the entire 93 pages of posts on coding. Happy to say I have successfully coded my first BMW (2016 F15) without any issues. Had an issue connecting the other day but Shawn S. came to my rescue. Thank you!

Hello Shawn
On my X5 F15 , I don't want any delay between the closing doors and folding mirrors So i did that 3056 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN set to werte=00 (before i have werte =OF) But after this change I still have same delay as before of approximately two seconds that I have to keep the remote control button pressed for folding the mirror Could you tell what i did wrong? or what i have to do for the correct coding? Thanks a lot |

Sorry, but I have no idea. I own an F10, so I do not keep up on F15 Cheat Sheet.

You Generate your own PIN with E-Sys Launcher 2.x. It is whatever you want it to be.

I believe I already know the answer (w/ my 1 week of coding experience! Lol) but I will ask away anyway. I am considering the MPPK kit for my '16 F15. Upon installation, do I need to make another back up copy of my "new" CAF files before recoding the ones I lost due to upgrade? Or would the original CAF files (prior to MPPK) are still good? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If someone else does it by flashing only DME, then only DME will receive new CAFD. But either way, any ECU receiving new CAFD should not have coding data (.ncd) restored to it that was taken from a previous CAFD version. The old and new CAFD structures could be quite different, and the raw coding data may not align properly.

EDIT- Yep, it's the brake. Open the door with your foot on the brake, and it will NOT turn off the radio/nav.
