i removed the coding and all was fine. might be due to lack of paddle shifters, as mentioned previously.

Amazing forum!

Read the entire 93 pages of posts on coding. Happy to say I have successfully coded my first BMW (2016 F15) without any issues. Had an issue connecting the other day but Shawn S. came to my rescue. Thank you!

Hello Shawn

On my X5 F15 ,

I don't want any delay between the closing doors and folding mirrors

So i did that

3056 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN set to werte=00 (before i have werte =OF)

But after this change I still have same delay as before of approximately two seconds that I have to keep the remote control button pressed for folding the mirror

Could you tell what i did wrong? or what i have to do for the correct coding?

Thanks a lot

Darn! I was hoping to code my non-M F15 with the SAT+ feature. Thanks for update!

Sorry, but I have no idea. I own an F10, so I do not keep up on F15 Cheat Sheet.

Saw the ambi light color codes. Just can remember if it's here or bimmerfest.com. They were able to code, purple, green, yellow, and light blue. However they were unable to change the I drive menu to reflect the new color selection.

You Generate your own PIN with E-Sys Launcher 2.x. It is whatever you want it to be.

I believe I already know the answer (w/ my 1 week of coding experience! Lol) but I will ask away anyway. I am considering the MPPK kit for my '16 F15. Upon installation, do I need to make another back up copy of my "new" CAF files before recoding the ones I lost due to upgrade? Or would the original CAF files (prior to MPPK) are still good? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If dealer installs MPPK, besides overpaying for it, they will program the entire car, and any ECU receiving new firmware, will also receive new CAFD file.

If someone else does it by flashing only DME, then only DME will receive new CAFD.

But either way, any ECU receiving new CAFD should not have coding data (.ncd) restored to it that was taken from a previous CAFD version. The old and new CAFD structures could be quite different, and the raw coding data may not align properly.

Thanks Shawn. My laptop is quite old and cannot handle the full PSZData. It would be cheaper to pay the install fee rather than buying a new laptop to accommodate the full software. Thanks again.

My F15 is a May build w latest software...any thoughts why this doesn't work consistently?
I'm having the same issue. I think it has something to do with the brake pedal. As in, if I stop the car and open the door, holding the brake pedal that entire time, the radio seems to NOT shut off. Or, if I take my foot off the brake pedal first, stop the engine, and open the door, then it shuts the radio off. I need to test it some more to see if there are any other weird variables or if it is consistently achieved.

EDIT- Yep, it's the brake. Open the door with your foot on the brake, and it will NOT turn off the radio/nav.
