Yes the earlier generation X5 covers will fit the F15. Try getBMWparts or the other online sources, these are readily available.

Yes. There's a thread discussing it. Not easy or cheap as you need to sacrifice a key. Search.

Can't get oem unless you want to retrofit the whole door as they're built into the door itself.

And yes there is an oem one on any bmw dealer website or wholesale. Also many threads on this. Or just google oem BMW X5 sunshade.

I did search but don't think I read enough. I did read about the 2nd key. I'll look into it. It looks like I'll have to settle for the aftermarket window shades then

I did notice your post on another thread about your front windshield sunshade where you indicated you went with OEM. The only X5 shades I'm finding are for the E70. Is that what you bought or was it specific for the F15? I've looked everywhere online and can't seem to find it.

The E70 will fit if that's all you can find. There's also the company that makes them for bmw. They sell them separately just without the BMW logo. I think it's a little cheaper. Again there's a thread on it. Don't remebr the company off the top of my head

I looked and looked and could not find door shades that weren't crap.

I found and bought these sunshades for my doors. The first set came in and were for the previous model - so they did not fit. I contacted the seller, and they revised them for our F15s. The seller was super cool to go thru the design process to make new ones. They are super easy, good quality, and fit exactly.

And they really cut sun.

Yea I found the link to that company, looks identical without the BMW lettering. I wanted the letters on there simply because I like how it looks. E70's will do. Thanks for your help Maverik!

Wow that's interesting. They attach to what exactly; the door frame? Which means you can't roll the windows?

What is the aftermarket key? Never heard of such thing. F15/16/85/86 keys are distributed by the BMW only, not even the dealership.
