Lol, of course it does!
Man, I didn't know about it when I had my F15.
Would've won money running it against X5M.

I was hoping it was the button to lengthen my arms so I can actually rest them both and reach the steering wheel at the same time. Fuckin poor cockpit design!

The correct answer is it's one of those dials that you have to push to retract. If it doesn't, use your fingernails.

Thank you for all the positive (and negative), comments on my question. Here is the response direct from BMW:

Thanks for contacting the BMW Genius Team.

The button you have indicated is not a button, but an electric thermometer.

I hope this information is helpful. Thanks again for your inquiry.

For your convenience, BMW Genius Team members can also be reached via the BMW Genius Hotline Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time at 1-844-4GENIUS (443-6487).

Now I don't actually know who to believe.
It has been discussed so many time, this is another thread about it.

What is the small button below the Auto button doing? https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1110740

But, there is never a straight answer about it.

Final question:

What does that button do???

Serious answer only.

Ben, come on))) You know this button has a secret function to make x5 go faster ( and eject passengers if they misbehave).

Is it F15 X5 specific?

Because it didn't do anything on my G30 540. 🤔
