Bluetooth issues. Any fixes out there?

I've read many other threads about Bluetooth issues, and the consensus is that it just sucks.
Are there any updates or anything that can make it work better?
With my latest phone, let's say I'm listening to youtube for example, video finishes and I select another video, then the stereo goes mute. I have to turn off Bluetooth on my phone and re-pair to get sound again. It's annoying me bad!

So I removed the last update, and it seems to be better than before. Hardly any audio lag.

I was at the dealer complaining about this. I have a 18 so not that old. He said there is a fix coming for call drop outs, volume on calls ( pretty much all updates are call related ) should be here in a few months. As far as the terrible fiction between car and device there is no fix. Annoying when you have two phones connected and your listening to music and your wife opens up a web page and the music stops and opens up Apple Car play.

Had a few issues on my 2017 F15 regarding the Bluetooth. Main issue being that although the phone is connected, couldn't always make calls or Spotify wouldn't sync over the Bluetooth. Would then go to disconnect the device through iDrive and it would not let me disconnect, so would have to turn BT off then back on from the phone, it would then not reconnect at all.
Just done the UPD09032 update and seems to be better already.
Wander if you guys can help me though, now on the software version page, I have an additional listing which is HMI, this wasn't there before, any ideas? Previously I only had telephone and media software versions.

I had 3 lines of numbers and when I removed all updates, it went back to two lines. I can't remember what each line said though.
