Tire recommendations: All Season Pirelli or Toyo

Looking to purchase new set of all season tires.

My two options for my price range:

PIRELLI SCORPION ZERO ALL SEASON PLUS

Or

TOYO PROXES ST III

Which one would you go with?

What size are the Pirellis? I have Toyo's and they work fine for me.

Been seeing the Toyo being mounted a lot more these days. The reviews are pretty much dead even. Any reason you went with Toyo brand?

Bought the ride with them. When I replaced, that's all that mobile tire replacement service (can't remember name) had and the first set worked for me so I didn't object.

What size are you looking for, are these the only two you want to know about, and does it matter if they are run flats or not?

295/30/22 and prefer run flats (3rd row no spare) but can’t find all season rft in 295/30/22 anywhere and not looking to switch out winter and summer wheels. So the two listed are the two choices in my price range available at tirerack.

That’s the problem with 22s, few choices.

FWIW I was able to roll up over 51k on my Scorpion Verdes with zero problems, but they were a different wheel size.

People who have used the TOYOs have liked them, but neither will give you much more than the mid 20ks worth of mileage making them much more expensive to use, and then there is the harsher ride which I really didn’t like.

Please let us know what worked out for you, others here would appreciate your input.

On the reviews I’ve seen in regards to noise performance:
Pirelli scores 9.1 out of 10
Toyo scores 4.5 out of 5

Pretty much even.

Understandable. I was going to suggest looking at the Nitto NT420V all season tire. But I don't recall them being run flats.

Need to purchase a new set soon. Anyone else weigh in on either the Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S+ or Toyo Proxes ST iii? Thanks.

I have had a good experience with the Toyos. They are not noisy and perform as expected. Almost a no news is good news take here.

I am curious about the Toyos myself. Didn't realize they made 22" all seasons. How do these perform in the snow vs say a comparable 20" all season?

I use a dedicated winter set so couldn't say.

One other point I'd make is that the Toyos are sexy as hell.

no toyo anything for me, ever. they are noisy, they wear noisier, performance is marginal. compound is an odd mix so wear appears decent but traction fades badly, and noise worsens.

they separate and dont have good grip, and get greasy quickly.
(track tires)

first option is summer and winter. 2nd option is pirelli or continental or bridgestone.

I'm happy with my Toyos. I'd say they're about the same noise level as my old run flat 20s. Also I hit a pot hole hard enough to bend the wheel a few weeks ago and the tire was fine. Got the wheel straightened and all is well.

I like my Toyo's as well, It does get a bit noisy as they wear but checking and maintaining the correct tire pressure helped in my case. I can't say I felt much of a difference ride comfort wise going from run RFT's to non only because I went from Summer to All Season. I'd purchase them again if I can't find a reason to go with another brand. I didn't now want to go with the Conti's DWS since I think the sidewalls were too soft.

I had the Toyo Proxes on a Jeep SRT. They were good tires except for wet road performance; I really had to slow down on the curves when the roads were wet. I have Pirelli Scorpions Zeros on the F15 now and they have been fine. They aren't showing much wear after 15k miles.
