reverse camera not working anymore

After long vacations driving a lot, my reverse camera is not working anymore.
I noticed that after replacing my front lights. But it’s quite unrelated.
I for an esta diag showing it’s simply not connected.
My F15 is a very early version (I think) and all folks did I asked could not find the proper wiring diag.

If anyone has a way to help I ll be very thank thankful.

Have you tried charging the battery?

If you were away for a long time and the battery depletes enough, it will start turning accessories off… just something easy to try first

Just changed them both.
Bigger one is same Amps but smaller one is a bit more power than original one to 60AH 540A. Wrong move ?

You swapped out both batteries since you noticed this issue? Or are they just newer (same batteries installed since you went on holidays?) … just make sure they are fully charged by a battery charger.

I don’t believe the extra juice from the Auxiliary battery is an issue but because of the PCM/IBS management issues, I can’t guarantee that it isn’t. As long as the main battery was the same, it doesn’t need recoding… but did need registering.

As a note, there is no option to register the Aux battery on my 2018 F15.

Have you had your head unit out for any reason? I was not able to find any OEM diagrams, but most aftermarket systems go to the back on the head unit… so curious if it’s been out anytime recently?

There looks to an inline plug connector in the trunk lid behind the camera for easier replacement if it was damaged… another connection that could have come loose?

I changed the batteries as they were old and low charging capacity.
Once I changed I noticed the camera won’t work. Cause to effect ? Not certain. But sure it was after it.

Indeed I replaced the main battery with the same exact from Varta. Never registered it though. Did not know you have to.
(Can you pm how to ?)

I removed the head unit (nbt 4) to plug my aftermarket carplay box.
Two entries are empty though in the back. Ine must be for 360 camera which I don’t have and the other I m not sure.

That being said I tried to plug everything back to original and still no luck.

Appreciate your insights and help.

Apparently yes. The "head unit" (aka the CIC - car information computer) is connected to the Central Info Display (screen)...the LVDS data line transmit the video data from the CIC to the Central Display.

Structure and inner electrical connection

The Car Information Computer (CIC) is connected to Terminal 30B via the rear power distribution box. The terminal status (Terminal R or Terminal 15) is signalled to the Car Information Computer via the bus system.

The LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signalling) data line is used to transmit the video data from the Car Information Computer to the Central Information Display (CID).

The Car Information Computer is a bus user on the K-CAN and in the MOST network.

In order to transmit the extended functions and high data volumes quickly and in high quality, the Car Information Computer also has an Ethernet connection to the Central Gateway Module (ZGM) and the rear entertainment system (RSE, stands for "Rear Seat Entertainment").

The diagnostic connector is connected via Ethernet to the Car Information Computer.

Remove the batteries and put the old ones if you still have them and then see. Or unplug the battery and replay it.
