I use 1Z Cockpit Cleaner, but not on my leather! For that, I use the Swissvax Leather Cleaner. I have nappa, so it requires a little bit more attention. The Swissvax makes it a breeze to keep clean.

Agreed. I would not use it on the Nappa leather but on the Dakota like the OP has I don't think it matters. Used this on Q7 which has Cricket Leather and is similar to Dakota and I did not have any issues.

Lexol is all I've ever used for leather maintenance.

No shine... it actually works well for Dakota leather texture. Every time I use it, it makes the leather surface like new. After application the leather surface is still moist so let it fully dry.

I use it for both Nappa and non-Nappa leathers. I recommend it and it's my preferred cleaner. It is probably overkill on Dakota, but I use it anyway with great results.
For Conditioner, I use Spinneybeck. Also no shine. One trick that works great on all conditioners is to use a hair dryer to warm up the leather a little and also to dry the conditioner after a few minutes. If you are careful about how much conditioner you apply (most people over-apply) you can blow it dry and no buffing or drying towel is required.

Chemical guys. In my experience conditioner is not required or advisable as long as the leather is kept clean. Modern automotive leather has a polyurethane coating that the conditioner won't penetrate.

Having contact with the leather on a daily basis, wouldn't this coating eventually be removed?
