Stay away from replica lips from china.
Crappy fiberglass brackets, it didnt even come with the z bracket to hold down the center lip. You would have to bend it to shape it to the bumper then cut off the other side pieces (it didnt have a pre-cut dent) If you must save on $ with these replica lips use betalink or some sort of perm adhesive agent or this will happen. I wish I found this thread sooner. We installed it wrong it wrong too Four screws on the side for side support Two screws in the middle for support And regular 3m tape on the support area and sides. :/ Gotta invest in the genuine lip now :/ |

The front lip has been a bit of a hassle. Like the other person, it didn't come with the Z bracket but did come with the others. It has taken a bit of effort and I might try one more time or see if using betalink would help it. It is a decent piece but fit might be 95%. It might work but certainly needs some effort. Hopefully this helps. Last edited by AZTWW; 07-20-2017 at 09:31 PM.. |

Replica splitter comes with shitty non drilled holes brackets that doesnt even fit properly on the bumper and also doesnt come with the mounting z brackets so you would have to fabricate one. After said than done youll be spending around $600. $1200 for oem kit Lesson learned, going to go with the $1200 kit. |

I will add this settle any questions about the quality.
Just received my BMW spoiler today vs the one from RWC, which is basically junk now. This is symbolic of the quality of the pieces in question that are not genuine BMW. BMW piece in back. No wonder it wanted to lift at the ends. |

I got RW Carbon mirror caps and the quality is bad. I already see defective bubbling on mine.
Stick with the OEM for the front splitter and rear splitter.

Yea I installed the autoteckni cf mirror caps. They're pretty good quality. They're not a 100% OEM fit, but I'd say probably a ~97% fit. They don't leave any big gaps or have any visual defects, but they're a bit thicker than the regular plastic OEM caps... by maybe like 1mm. So any passerby wouldn't notice that additional thickness, but I can tell since I installed it.

Just curious, how does one go about to fabricate the bracket for a front replica spoiler? did anyone successfully put a replica spoiler to the car and how was it done?
mm.. if it is too much trouble, I might just sell mine and buy an oem one instead.. but that's like 3x the price.. |

Found this the other day. Really want this front spoiler but the price of a oem here in Canada is insane. Vendor claims to be in the U.k but ships out of the U.S. ?wish I can find a good replica that works for our X5's

Moral of this post is... "don't buy reps kids".
Any other experiences people want to share? I am going to just save up and buy OEM lip (can't do diffuser b/c of my trailer hitch). |
