Rust on XLine steel trim
I noticed this on my x5 xline. Only drove it aroind Seattle and BC (Whistler). AFAIK neither place uses salt.
Any idea how this happened and how to get rid of it? Thanks. |

i can confirm that BC indeed uses salt in the winter
a very very fine grit sand paper like 2000 grit or a metal polishing compound will get rid of it. i suggest u try the polishing compound first as that will create less scratches. if the trim has a brushed finished on it i suggest u polish the trim along the direction of the brush marks.
