Anyone know how I can get an OEM paint code for my F15 wheel, so I pick up or have spray can made up, so I can attempt a repair of my wheel injury?

I can't help with the paint code, but what I would say is that you should buy a new wheel and have the damaged one refurbished and keep it as a spare. I am in the same situation as you - I bought my car outright and I want perfection! I have been delaying a decision, but I know I will eventually buy a new wheel despite having repaired mine. Anything but factory just won't be good enough!

I also thought about just getting another wheel from a junk yard I know of. I know I could also upgrade the wheels and tires, but I try and stay under the radar if possible with accessorizing the X5 like putting expensive wheels and tires on my ride is only asking for theft for those times I park my boat trailer in unattended boat launch sites and getting back after dark. |

I hear what you are saying, but I was thinking more of having a spare wheel at home which could be swapped out immediately if ever you had a mishap with another curb. My personal problem with this is that the wheels are different sizes for front and back. It would still give me a wheel to fit while the damaged one was refurbished though.

My F16 is the first car that I had with 20" wheels and I had problems with it when I first got it. How can that extra 1/2" make such a difference?
There's a high curb in the curving exit of the drive-thru at the Schlotzky's that we go to and it really has it in for my car. I've hit it at least 3x and its one of the ones that cruuuunch. Compared to my front passenger rim, my others look like smooth examples of newness. |

That's weak sauce. My rims are all chewed up to the point where it leaves weird marks after tire dressing if you had ever seen
I think I have some coordination issue which makes me curb my rims every other week. |

That's not so bad. I blew a new tire and dented a rim, and I don't even know what happened. Tire had only 186 miles on it, so TireRack covered it, but undenting the rim cost me $120.

Update: Had to bring X5 in for an oil change to BMW of South Albany where I bought it past Feb.
So I told them while its there to send out the wheel I damaged on a curb. He said the front one has damage too (this one was not done by me as I bought the X5 a year old with 14K on it). So I said to send them both out as the only way I'm going to learn to be more careful is to pay $200 a wheel! Picked it up an hour ago and they both look great. Bill says on site serviced, so maybe the wheel guy comes out to the dealership? Either way "both" wheels came to $204 . . . It's not a "perfect" repair, note the slight indentation near the valve in the third pic which is the rear wheel. but for the price its pretty damn good IMO And at least I know its "my" wheels and they didn't swap it with some refurbished wheel they did that was in an accident.

I've got the "wheel" coverage from the original purchase. Took the car in on the day the "wheel guy" was there, so yes, they likely have a contract with someone local. Good enough repair, but I still know it's there
