What is the number on dash board?

Today I found a 30 on dash. Does any one know that what the number mean? It does not come all the time,but some time. Thanks

That's the speed limit on the current road.

One of the packages has a feature which reads speed limit signs.

Thanks for your answer, but i think it is not the speed limit.Because even I drive on highway still shows 30. As you can see the number 40 with white background is speed limit.

Maybe the speed which your cruise control was set at?

The symbol below speed sign indicates cruise control is enabled. And, the arrow indicates the set speed. Dash will briefly display actual number as well.

I think its only an arrow on the other gauges that have numbers on the dial. This is the only format where it looks weird like that since there's a number hanging out in the air.
