In front of the radio preset buttons displays on the screen above which station that button is tuned too! Without having to actually press the button.

I discovered this a few nights ago by accident. Not a biggy, but a cool feature none the less.

You probably also know that you can program those button as shortcuts to many applications in iDrive. I have one of mine setup to go directly to the sport gauges.

You can preset the buttons (1-8) to do any tasks or select any screens, much like you'd preset a radio station.

Select the function you want to preset, all the way until you actually select it by clicking iDrive controller. Then push lightly on any button for a quick few seconds until a store option comes up on the screen.

Then push preset button down further until action is stored.

I use this a lot to dial frequent contacts on various numbers, show Sports display, display trip computer and show enter destination screen in Nav.

No I didn't know that one. Thx . . I did scan through the manuals when I bought the car, but its a lot of tech to consume

Instead of pressing a button on the radio with the tip of your finger . . . if you lightly drag your finger to the left and right of each button . . . a display just above the buttons will light up and you can see what each station is programmed too without pressing the button.

Try it and you will see what I'm describing. Not that there are not other ways to see what the preset button is tuned too, I just happened to discover this by accident.

It's not on the touchscreen. It's on the 1-8 presets. You have this functionality if you have an F15.
