My New X6

Was going to avoid having a separate thread for this and just post in the random shot of the day thread, but noticed it was for X5s ? so can we post X6's in there also ?

Anyway, very pleasant experience, picked up the brand new car today (Build completed 11th Jan 2017), so far very pleased with it, as its my first "large" car will take a bit of getting used to coming from the 2015 F20 M135i as my previous car, but am pleased with the upgrade.

Taken 1 Month roughly from build complete to being picked up, so that's very good from BMW, as have read some horror stories with wait times.

Anyway....

...thought I'd share some photos for those who would like (sorry iPhone quality)

Walked in to this

and

then after the unveiling

Showing off the M performance splitter here

and lastly

Very nice... It looks like they added the M performance grill too.
I would complete the look with the gloss black X6 emblem and exhaust tips in the back and the sides are already debadged from factory I assume. And yes, please post pics of X6's in the photo of the day

Very nice! Such a magnificent machine.

I could be a bit biased though, lol.

I have posted a few pics in the thread you mentioned, and never got any boo's so feel free to put up pics so we can all bask in the glory that is X6.

Enjoy the new toy in good health.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, am now finding lots of excuses to go out to the shops or run errands....

"oh forgot the milk ? I'll go get some...."

"Oh darn forgot the bread, I'll go out and get some more..."

Haven't debadged yet as was thinking of plastidipping the back X6 and both side "xDrive40d" chrome emblems for that black look.

Then... well, considering the M Perf Diffuser and bootlip spoiler but we'll see.

Congratulations on taking delivery of your new car, it looks lovely in space grey! Your handover seems like it was a good experience. I have less than a couple of weeks until I take delivery of mine too. Just trying to arrange insurance at the moment which is proving to be a bit of a nightmare. Who did you insure you car with?

I had no problem insuring with Direct Line and this year with LV <£400
Mind you I'm old enough to remember black and white TV 🤔

I would also recommend a Tracker too.

I'm old enough to remember black n white TV as well, but my quote is more than double yours...!
But I live in Greater London, not the lovely Cotswolds, which sadly makes a big difference

I'm insured with Elephant but same as GeeRam, living in Greater London, the premium is quite high (£833)

I went to these price comparison sites and was being quoted £1200+.....

(I'm 41 with a clean licence been driving since 17, and have 16 years no claims so thats shocking)
