Replacing a h&k amp...
Question for the experts. Let's say my old amp got damaged due to water. When I replaced the fuse on top of the amp and plugged it in the amp started smoking. So long story short I bought another used amp but before I hook it up. Is there anything I should check? I don't want to plug this one in and fry it or damage it. Or if the amp and fuse. Oth got replaced there is nothing that can damage the replacement amp?
Any help is appreciated. First time bmw owner and it's been a questionable few months lol. |

Check the fuses and look for any water and even if there isn’t any still get a towel and see if anything appears. Once it’s all dry you can plug in the new Amplifier.

I keep running the heat on that area every time I drive the car. Also right after it happened I had the carpet lifted with a fan blowing for a few hours. It's been a few weeks som I'm hoping all is dry. Fingers crossed
