The more I look at your X5 Alan, the more I want the rear side fins/wings...
Do you get a lot of debris trapped in between the car and the CF piece?

I like the wings personally. It reminds me of the first gen X5 4.6 lower rear portion which i always liked. Gives the back a more square, wider appearance.
It does get dirty in between there but I just stick my wheel brush to clean it. Same as if i was cleaning around the exhaust tips area. This is the wheel brush i use for my wheels, exhaust tips, rear flaps, brake ducts or wherever my mitt can't reach. https://www.detailersdomain.com/prod...z-detail-brush Alan

Alan - your car is stunning, very tasteful modifications. Thank you for sharing your upgrade story. My 1 series came with the M Sport brake upgrade (not the rotors) as a factory fit. The SO has just bought a second hand X3 and is tempted to do an upgrade.

Looks great Alan. Maybe change the lip stripe to blue now to match your brakes!?

Funny i actually thought about doing that once i saw the brakes on the car. Just not sure the blue would stand out as much as the red currently there. Easy enough to swap back and forth i guess.
**edit - Just ordered some blue stripe tape. If i don't like it i still have plenty of red ones to go back on ** Alan

Hey Alan
I just concluded my order for the F15 xDrive40D and car will be arriving around mid January. I really love what you've done with your f15 infact you're the reason i bought this car. Anyways, I want to customize it exactly like yours but i will have to order in all exterior parts used. Is there a way you give me the pricing and relevant details on how i can get them delivered in Tanzania? |

nice photos. I notice the exhaust tips are sticking out (protruding) a little more than usual, did you install them like that on purpose?

Most of my parts could be purchased from any BMW dealer. Finding these used will be hard since not many people mod the X5 and its still relatively new. For wheels contact Baan Velgen. They gave me the best price for my BBS. Quote:

This was one of my only builds where I am completely satisfied with the outcome and don't want to change a thing first time around. Alan

The MPE tips are adjustable.. Mine was originally sticking out more like Alan's but I asked the tech to adjust the tips a little. Mine sticks out slightly and I like it this way so if any black residue comes out of the exhaust it doesn't drip on the bumper.
