What is peeling off my wheel well arch?

Hey guys,

I noticed some kind of clear film peeling off my rear wheel well arch while I was drying the X5. What could this possibly be?

If elastic, I'd say a protective film dealer never removed. If rigid/flakey then poor clear coat.

Only other thing that comes to mind is If you accidentally got sprayed on somewhere or drove on some construction material, glues, etc.

Matt, thanks for the help. It's more elastic and seems to stick to my fingers. I peeled all of it off the arch - well, as much as I could get. Do you think it's something I should talk to my dealer about?

It looks like protective film from dealer. Was it only on the arch?

I'd speak with your dealer. As said above, it could be a protective film leftover from transport.

Doesnt look like clear coat. Just looks like something that wasn't removed or rubbed onto the car leaving some residue.

Unless you have blemishes that won't come off, I'd forget it.
